Our Ethos and Values

At Boston Pioneers Academy we believe that all children deserve an excellent education and one which they will have fond memories of for the rest of their lives.

In our large and vibrant school, we consider fostering children’s curiosity to create within them a life­long love of learning to be one of our most important missions. We do this through the delivery of a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum, which promotes creativity and provides a wealth of opportunities for our young people. We have high expectations, at all times, of both children’s learning and behaviour to ensure they can achieve their individual potential whilst developing respect and consideration for others; thereby enabling them to have a positive impact on society.

At Pioneers Academy we have worked together with members of the rich and diverse community we serve to identify our common core values. The word ‘REACH’ is used to represent these values:

R – Resilience, we keep trying even when things are tough

E – Excellence, we strive to achieve excellence in all we do

A – Ambition, we aspire to achieve our best

C – Care, we care for one another and show kindness

H – Honesty, we are honest in what we say and what we do

At our Academy we live by our chosen values and you will see them embodied in our daily school life. Each week in our celebration assembly, where we celebrate our achievements as a school community, individual pupils who have consistently demonstrated one or more of our values are selected to receive ‘STAR’ awards.
