Key Information

School Uniform

School uniform plays a valuable role by:

  • Promoting a sense of belonging and pride in our school community.
  • Encouraging equality by reducing visible socioeconomic differences amongst learners.
  • Helping learners focus on learning by minimising distractions from fashion trends.
  • Preparing learners for future expectations of professional dress codes.
  • Enhancing safety by making learners easily identifiable during school activities.
  • Fostering discipline and responsibility through maintaining a consistent and tidy appearance.

We consider our uniform to be a badge of pride and in choosing to send your child to Boston Pioneers Academy, you are agreeing to abide by our uniform policy.

Our uniform includes:

  • A grey jumper or cardigan with the Academy Logo
  • A white formal shirt (Not a polo shirt)
  • Mid-grey trousers or a Pioneer Tartan Kilt
  • A Pioneer Purple Blazer (optional)
  • A Pioneer Grey and Purple Tie (optional)
  • Formal, black school shoes (Not trainers)

During the warmer weather, pupils may wish to wear a lilac checked dress or mid-grey school shorts.

Please note, sports leggings as part of PE kit may be worn on PE days, but not for everyday uniform. Lightweight leggings may be worn under skirts if wished.

On PE days, children need to come to school dressed in:

Their grey school jumper or cardigan and:

  • Plain black tracksuit bottoms
  • Plain trainers (ideally black or white)
  • Plain white t-shirt or school logo PE top from our stockist
  • Plain black sports shorts

Please name all items of clothing, including PE kit in order to try and prevent loss or confusion.

On health and safety grounds, we do not allow children to wear jewellery in our Academy. The exceptions to this rule are religious items of jewellery; stud earrings in pierced ears (one stud per ear); and wrist watches (not smart watches). These items of jewellery must be removed for PE activities or parents must cover their children’s ears with plasters on the days they have PE.
